The Challenge
A globally recognized thought leadership organization was grappling with expanding its audience and capitalizing on its vast resources of insights, content, and industry data archives. Despite possessing a huge wealth of data, the organization struggled to deploy it effectively. The leaders approached us with the task of mining their data to unearth novel thought leadership insights. However, they were unsure about the investment required and how to generate returns.
The Approach
Instead of jumping straight into data mining, we identified that for their content to be useful, accessible, and (not least important!) impactful, a comprehensive digital transformation was required. This entailed the development of a new digital publication, a revamped data structure and collection system, and a strategic content marketing plan. Simultaneously, we analyzed their audience, breaking it into distinct segments, and tailored a unique institutional revenue model to transition the organization from individual subscriptions to an enterprise B2B model. We created a five-year revenue model and a targeted list of enterprise B2B sales prospects, demonstrating a clear path to ROI for the proposed investments.
